PROJECT

AI-CUBE (Artificial Intelligence and Big Data CSA for Process Industry Users, Business Development and Exploitation) is a project funded in 2020 under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme. AI-CUBE aims to enhance the understanding of digital technologies related to artificial intelligence (AI) and big data (BD) applied in process industries for all the ten Processes4Planet industrial sectors: Cement, Ceramics, Chemicals, Engineering, Non-ferrous metals, Minerals, Refining, Pulp & Paper, Steel, Water.

AI-CUBE's participation in the SPIRE (now Processes4Planet) program aligns itself with the overarching Processes4Planet concept. By integrating AI and BD technologies into the process industry, AI-CUBE contributes to realising sustainable and environmentally friendly practices that address the challenges of climate change, resource scarcity, and environmental degradation.

The EU funding provided through Processes4Planet underscores the significance of the AI-CUBE project in driving innovation and sustainability within the process industry. It supports the project's efforts to explore and implement cutting-edge technologies, develop business models prioritising resource efficiency and environmental impact, and facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration among industry stakeholders.
